So I figure my first post should be about the apartment I’m living in, since it seems to be taking up most of my time! Something breaks almost every day and of course due to my lack of Hungarian language skills, communicating with repair men always proves challenging.
We’ve been trying to get a new key made for the front door, but every locksmith tells us the key is too old to be replaced. So, I made an appointment with the locksmith to come and actually look at the lock itself and tell me what can be done about it. So, of course, he doesn’t bother showing up. I called him several hours after the missed appointment and, without bothering to explain why he never showed up, we re-scheduled for tomorrow. Somehow I’m not too optimistic!
Every repair man has said the same word in reference to our apartment - “Old, old, old”.
Otherwise, things are going well here in BP. Keeping busy exploring the city and am definitely drinking too much cheap beer.
