So we went out to what we were told was a small wine tasting / festival type thing and it ended up being at the Hungarian train museum. It was an old train repair depot and was actually quite cool to see all the old trains from all the way back in the 1800’s. There were many communist era trains with the big red star on the front of the locomotive.

There were also several strange things going up and down the tracks which we had never seen before. Cars, horse drawn trains, stream engines, push carts and more. For 100 Ft you could buy a ticket and use any of them.

We tried some of the wines, but there were only like 5 booths. Inside the train museum they had old cars from the Orient Express you could walk into and other exhibits. There was some sort of kids toy convention going on though, so that seemed to be the main focus.

After checking it all out, we ended up leaving. Neat little trip though, if you’re interested in trains or a bit of history, check it out.
